In the second installment of the Orco Foundation’s Magik Moment trips for persons with cancer, 7 teens from the Ostrava region of the Czech Republic in post-leukemia treatment travelled to Paris with their oncologist Dr. Tomas Kuhn. The group visited Paris from August 25-29, 2009, organized and funded by the Orco Foundation and Eurodisney including flights, hotels, and all activities. In just 4 days they saw every important monument, visited 3 museums and Disneyland, thanks to their energetic guide, Dr. Kuhn, who really kept up the pace. Also they were fortunate to have great weather and no mishaps.

It was my first fly with a plane and it was a fine experience. I had an opportunity to see a lot of things in these 5 days, to which I otherwise couldn’t get to.
From: Ivana Sipkova – mother of Martina Sipkova, age 15
Our daughter Martina was completely excited with the trip. I don’t know when she gets again such an opportunity. I think that children were at most excited by the Disneyland. Children didn’t know each other before the trip but I think that they became acquainted fast. They talked to each other about the times when they got ill and how well they are now doing. We appreciate a lot that our daughter could take part at this trip which couldn’t be possible without the Orco Foundation. Once more thank you very much.

I myself as a parent am very happy that he had this chance. After the two years that we have spent in the hospital this is the best reward for him, that he has endured all the suffering. I was just gazing at the young beautiful people who joined the trip with him - they all were healthy!!!. When he left from the airport he had tears in his eyes and said how great time it was. I want to thank for us all to Orco Foundation for the wonderful days in Paris.
